Guidlines for abstracts

Due to high number of received papers, deadline for submitting the papers has been extended until 13th of March. All abstracts should be submitted electronically via the online Abstract registration form. Abstracts are only accepted for consideration via the online system. Abstract submitted in any other fashion will not be considered for presentation. Therefore, the authors should be careful about spelling mistakes.

The presentations should be experimental and clinical studies and should contribute to scientific knowledge and yield clear conclusions. Abstracts will be printed as sent via internet, so typographical errors should be avoided. Authors are responsible for the typographical errors.

Guidelines for Submission

  • The submission of abstracts can only be accepted via the Online abstract submission.
  • Names of the authors should not include their affiliations.
  • The name should be written with first letter in capital and the family name should be written all letters are capital. Ex: John SMITH
  • Name and address of the institution in which the author is employed, should be stated.
  • Abstract title should be in capital letters. (Abbreviations excluded.)
  • In case abbreviations are used in the abstract, the abbreviation should be stated in parenthesis.
  • The purpose of the paper and the methods applied should be explained in the abstract, the findings should be summarized together with sufficient statistical details and the conclusion should be stated within the framework of the findings presented.
  • Abstract should be organized in a way to include the titles of purpose, materials and methods, results and conclusions.
  • The abstract should not exceed 400 words excluding the abstract title and name & surname of the author and should be uploaded in WORD 2013/2016 or PDF format.

An abstract that does not match with anyone of the rules mentioned above, will be abondoned.

Abstract Evaluation

All abstracts and proceedings will be blind reviewed by the Scientific Committee. For evaluation of the abstract, the congress registration process must be completed for at least one of the researchers. An acceptance letter concerning the abstract evaluation result will be e - mailed to the author.

Residents Contest

During the Congress will be organized a Residents Contest for both oral and poster presentations done by the residents.

A jury will note the presentations.

The European Federation of Societies for Microsurgery will award the best three oral presentations.

The Serbian Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery will award the best three posters.

All the interested residents in this contest are requested to send their abstracts until December 31, 2017, with the mention “for participation in the residents contest”. The Scientific Committee will decide which abstracts will be accepted as oral or poster presentation.

If some abstracts are already sent and the authors are willing to register them for the contest, please send e-mail to, mentioning the authors and the title of the abstract you want to be registered for the contest.

Please do not forget that the residents up to 32 years old are free of charge if they will register until December 15, 2017.
